Santiago was a complete surprise for us. It is a very modern city with beautiful neighbourhoods, great restaurants and friendly people.
Our friends Sebastian and Carolina who we meet in Torres del Paine gave us an excellent tour of Santiago.
After our short visit to Santiago, we began our migration north so we could be home for the holidays. It took two days of flying but we arrived home safe and sound on December 22 - just in time for some last-minute Christmas shopping and then good times with family and friends.
